- The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) provides help to individuals who find trouble overseas. The support is called Consular services. If you are staying in India and looking for passport or consular help then you need to get in touch with Australian High Commission in New Delhi, Consulate General in Mumbai, or Chennai. If you are looking for help then you need to contact the migration agents in Brisbane for detailed information about the visa type you want to apply for or any other information you want to get.
- In New Delhi, consular services are given on weekdays, between 9 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 4 pm (except on public holidays). Telephone inquiries 8.30 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm Monday to Friday. DFAT provides Australians with emergency services 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

It is ideal to lodge an application for an Australian passport at the High Commission, Australia. Applications will not be accepted by the post. The new portal has been introduced by the Australian Passport Office to complete their passport application process online. In that case, the client needs to register for an account before the passport application process is completed. Temporary Passport Arrangements during Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic
If you are living in a state or city with travel restrictions, then you can apply for a temporary passport which is valid for around 12 months. You should take all the necessary information from the migration agents to go through the entire process.
